ABOUT SHANE

Community Commitment

As an Oak Hills resident and father of three children in our district, I’ve been deeply involved in building strong connections between our schools and the community.

I currently serve on the Oak Hills Community Advisory Team and on the board of the Kids and Community Food Collaborative, a local nonprofit dedicated to fighting food insecurity among our students. Over the years, I’ve also served on the CO. Harrison PTA, the Western Economic Council, the Delhi Township Financial Advisory Board, and Kiwanis.

My wife and I have led a STEM team at C.O. Harrison Elementary School, inspiring students to think creatively and solve problems. Beyond these roles, I’ve coached OHYA baseball, bowling, and soccer, and served as a basketball coach for Shiloh United Methodist Church — experiences that keep me grounded in the needs and hopes of our students and families.

Leadership and Experience

My professional career has always combined leadership, ethics, and advocacy. That foundation was shaped by five years of military service as a Navy Hospital Corpsman, where I worked in emergency services. In the Navy, I learned how to lead under pressure, work as part of a disciplined team, and care for people in their most vulnerable moments — lessons that have guided me ever since.

After my service, I spent more than 15 years in the financial services industry, ultimately serving as head of compliance and ethics. In that role, I ensured accountability and integrity while balancing corporate objectives.

When my father-in-law was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2017, I stepped away from that career to advocate for him. That experience was a turning point, leading me to become a strong voice for the elder law community. Today, as an attorney, I help seniors and their families navigate the legal and financial challenges of aging with dignity and security.

My leadership extends to the classroom as well, where I served for several years as an adjunct professor at NKU Chase College of Law.

Service and Dedication

Service has always been at the core of who I am. The values I developed in the Navy — discipline, integrity, and a mission-first mindset — carried through my career in compliance and ethics and continue to shape my work in elder law.

I am running for Oak Hills School Board to bring that same dedication, discipline, and sense of responsibility to our schools. My goal is to ensure strong academics, wise use of taxpayer dollars, and opportunities for every student to thrive.

Why I'm Running

Oak Hills is a community that values excellence — in our schools, in our families, and in our future. I’m running for school board because I believe our students deserve the very best education we can provide, built on a foundation of integrity, transparency, and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.

Every decision we make should reflect our commitment to preparing students not only for today’s challenges, but also for the opportunities of tomorrow.

My platform is simple: focus on academic achievement, support our teachers, and manage our resources wisely. That means fostering an environment where educators have the tools and encouragement they need to help every student reach their full potential. It also means making sure every dollar is spent with care and accountability.

Excellence in education isn’t just about test scores. It’s about equipping our children with the skills, confidence, and values they need to succeed in life. Strong academics must go hand-in-hand with character development, critical thinking, and resilience.

I believe our greatest investment is in our children. By combining rigorous academics with fiscal responsibility — and by leading with integrity in every decision — we can strengthen Oak Hills for generations to come.

Together, we can ensure our schools remain a source of pride for our community and a launching pad for our students’ brightest futures.

MY WHY

To champion integrity, inspire excellence, and invest in the future of Oak Hills.

Levy information

Investing in Our Kids’ Future Without Raising Your Taxes!

Oak Hills is moving forward with a smart plan to modernize our schools — many of which are nearly a century old — to ensure our students learn in safe, up-to-date classrooms. Through the state’s Expedited Local Partnership Program, at least 50% of the cost will be covered by Ohio, bringing more than $70 million in state funding into our community.

This bond replaces an expiring levy. There will be ABSOLUTELY NO INCREASE IN TAXES when it begins in 2026.

This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to invest in our children’s future while keeping our promise to taxpayers.
